kWh → J converter
A kilowatt-hour is energy, not power. One kilowatt maintained for one hour is 1,000 watts multiplied by 3,600 seconds, or exactly 3,600,000 joules. Converting kWh to kW requires a time interval, so the energy and power categories are kept separate.
Conversion formula
J = kWh × (3600000)
